Staff Training

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) addresses mandatory employee training by requiring employers as they "... shall comply with occupational safety and health standards promulgated under the Act." There are more than 130 standards, which contain special training requirements. Defined by OSHA's General Duty Clause, this could increase. It is the responsibility of the employer, to provide the employee a safe working environment.


If OSHA issues a safety violation, the adequacy of the training may also become an issue in the amount of the fines and the potential release of contested cases. Where proper training has been provided to the employees, the employers may successfully defend against an otherwise valid citation, demonstrating, all feasible steps were taken, to avoid a hazardous occurrence. All courses taught by Oak Tree Risk Management Services are designed to comply with appropriate agencies, as OSHA and DOT, for meeting the proper levels of employee instruction.


The following is a sample list of training available through OTRMS: Driver & Vehicle Safety, General Industry Safety, Construction Safety and Risk Management. We also encourage our clients to join with other employers, scheduling classes and multiple training topics to conserve training costs. Certificates, awards, and patches are available for successful completion of some courses.
